Brijesh Mathemagic

Brijesh Mathemagic is located at E 23 in the Shastri Nagar area. It is basically just a couple of rooms where we sit down and do math problems all day long. We have been in this neighborhood for a long time. People around here know us for the math shortcuts and the way we handle the numbers for the students. It is not a big institution with a glass front or a lobby. It is more like a local spot where students drop in after their regular school day is over. The desks are a bit small and sometimes we run out of white chalk, but we manage with what we have. We don't talk about big goals here. We just solve the problems on the board. If a student gets stuck on a square root, we stay with them until they figure it out on their own. It is a lot of practice and repetitive work. The street outside can get pretty crowded, especially in the evenings, so there is usually a lot of bike horns honking while we are trying to work inside. We don't really mind the noise. It is just part of being in Shastri Nagar. We keep things very informal. You don’t need an appointment to come talk to us; you just walk in the door. We might be in the middle of a class, but we will talk to you when there is a short break. It is just us and the numbers.
