Basant Kumar Ashok Kumar Provision Store is located in the Mahamandir area of Jodhpur. We are right by Mahamandir Circle, not far from Pilva House. It’s a good spot because a lot of people pass by on their way to other parts of the city. We sell everyday items that people need for their homes. You’ll see bags of grain, jars of things, and all the usual stuff you’d expect in a local store. It’s not a supermarket where you pick things off a shelf yourself. Usually, you tell us what you need and we get it for you from the back or the high shelves. We have a lot of regular customers who live in the neighborhood. They come in to chat as much as they do to buy things. The shop is a bit cluttered because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to stand if we just got a big delivery in. We don't have any fancy displays. We just stack things where they fit. The heat in Mahamandir can be tough in the summer, so we keep the doors open and the ceiling fan going. It’s a simple business run by people who have lived here for a long time. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. It’s just a provision store and we’ve been here doing this for quite some time now.
