Baba Marbles

Baba Marbles is out here at Plot No. 59 in Stone Park. Being right on NH-65 near Mandore makes it easy for the big trucks to get in and out, which is good because these stones are not light. We have been here for a bit now, just handling the daily grind of the stone business. It is mostly outdoor work, so we are at the mercy of the weather. When it rains, the yard gets muddy, and when the sun is out, the marble reflects everything. We have piles of different stones stacked up. Some are local, some come from further away. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Usually, it is just us moving pieces around so customers can see the patterns. People drive out here from the city to pick out slabs for their stairs or floors. We tell them to bring a tape measure because eyes can be tricky. It is a loud place sometimes with the machines running. We keep a simple office where we track the inventory. It isn't anything special to look at, just a workspace. We know the stones well because we touch them every day. If a slab has a crack, we set it aside. We just want to get the orders loaded correctly so the drivers can get on their way. That is pretty much our whole day. We drink some water, check the manifests, and watch the traffic go by.
