Ankit Marble And Granite is situated in the Shastri Nagar Industrial Area, specifically within Udyog Vihar. We are located near the shopping centre on Ajmer Road, right along the Main Pali Road. It is a very industrial part of the city, so there are always heavy trucks moving in and out with loads of stone. Our space is more of a working yard than a fancy store with a glass front. We keep the marble and granite slabs lined up in the open air so people can see them. Because we’re so close to the main road, it gets quite noisy and there’s always a bit of grit in the air. We don’t have a big staff, just a few guys who have been with the family for a long time. We spend our days checking the slabs and helping people pick out something that fits their budget. The sun can get really hot out there in the yard, so we usually take a long break in the middle of the day. We aren't really into the whole corporate lifestyle. We just run our business, talk to our regulars, and try to keep the stone moving. Sometimes the marble has natural marks or weird patterns, but that’s just how it comes out of the ground. We’re honest about what we have on the lot. If you come by, you’ll probably find me sitting on a stool near the entrance.
