We’ve been here at Sardarpura Gole Building Road for quite a while now. If you walk down 1st C Road to number 207, you’ll find our small office. It’s usually full of cardboard boxes and rolls of tape. We handle packages for people going to the next town or even across the ocean. Dealing with international shipping means there is a lot of paper to fill out, but we try to keep it moving. Most days are busy with folks dropping off gifts or business documents. We don't have fancy furniture or anything, just a few desks and a scale that sees a lot of use. Sometimes the phone rings too much and other times it is quiet while we wait for the morning pick-up truck to arrive. It gets hot in the summer here, but we keep the door open to see who is coming by. We just handle the parcels and make sure the addresses are written clearly so they don't get lost. It is straightforward work. We’ve seen all sorts of things packed into boxes. Some people bring stuff that isn't even wrapped right, so we help them tape it up properly. It’s just us here most days, making sure the domestic and international piles are separated before the evening van comes to collect everything. We just stay focused on the labels and the tracking numbers and hope the weather stays clear for the drivers.
