Bengal Collections

Our shop, Bengal Collections, is right across from KV No. 1 in the Abhay Garh Colony area of Badarpur. Being opposite a school means we see a lot of foot traffic, especially when the kids are getting out. We are at No. 31-B. The shop is a bit small, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of stuff in there. We mostly deal with traditional items and fabrics. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a new delivery in, and boxes end up in the aisles for a few hours. I usually sit near the front to keep an eye on things. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people walking by or hearing about us from their neighbors. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to get around to it. Sometimes the heat in Badarpur gets pretty intense, so we keep the fans going all day. It’s a local business through and through. We know the names of half the people who walk through the door. We aren't trying to be a big chain. It's just a place where you can find some nice textiles without any fuss. We try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. It’s been our home for a long time now, and we like being part of the colony.
