Shri Balaji Building Materials & Cement Store

The dust on Safidon Road is something you just learn to live with when you run a place like Shri Balaji Building Materials & Cement Store. We are right opposite Jotha Farm in Jind. It’s a busy stretch of road with plenty of tractors and trucks moving back and forth all day. Our shop is mostly filled with bags of cement and stacks of other materials. You can't really keep a place like this clean, no matter how much you sweep. We spend a lot of time outside or near the entrance, watching for the next delivery truck to pull in. Managing a cement store is heavy work and we are usually covered in some kind of gray powder by the afternoon. It is honest work though. We know most of the contractors and farmers around Safidon because they stop by when they are building something new. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure to show people. We just show them what we have in stock and tell them the price. The sun can be really brutal out here on the road, so we take our tea breaks in the shade whenever we can. It’s a simple life of loading and unloading. Sometimes the Jotha Farm across the way is busy and that brings even more movement to our little corner of the district. We just keep doing our thing.
