Unnat Kisan Samriddhi Producer Company Limited is based out of Abusar in the Jhunjhunu district. We are not a large corporation or anything like that. Just some local people from the village who decided to organize things a bit better. Our office is right there in the VPO area, so everyone around here knows where we are. We spend most of our time out in the fields rather than sitting behind a desk. Jhunjhunu has its own way of doing things, and we try to stick to that. We handle a lot of different crops depending on the season. It gets pretty hot here, so we have to be careful with the water. Most of the folks involved are just neighbors who have been farming for years and years. We decided to put this company together to help each other out with buying supplies and selling what we produce at the end of the year. It is not always easy, and we make mistakes like anyone else. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but the farming part we know inside and out. If you walk through Abusar, you can usually find one of us near the main road or heading out to the fields. We don't use any fancy talk or have big plans for the future, we just want to make sure the farming stays solid for everyone in the village. It is simple work, really, and we are just trying to keep the tradition going for our families.
