Shyam Steel Traders

Shyam Steel Traders is located on Harchand Main Mill Road. We are pretty easy to find since we're right near the Balaji Mandir. Sometimes the bells from the temple provide a nice background while we're working in the afternoons. We’re mostly a trading outfit, so we buy and sell different types of steel. The shop is usually full of various bits and pieces. It’s a busy road, so there's a lot of dust and noise from the passing vehicles. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. We don't do any big marketing or anything. Most of our work comes from people just walking in because they need something for a home repair or a small project. The office is just a corner with a few chairs and a ceiling fan that squeaks a bit. We spend our time checking the ledgers and making sure the inventory is right. It’s a simple life, really. We open up, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer of the day. Dealing with steel can be tough on the back, but we don't complain much. It’s what we do. If you’re ever near the temple on Mill Road, you’ll likely see us out front moving some stock around. We just try to get through the day's tasks.
