Neel Bricks

Neel Bricks is situated right opposite the 2 Apanjan Club in the Baphur Doaba district. It is a wide-open area which is good because bricks take up a lot of space. We have stacks and stacks of them lined up across the yard. The ground is usually red from the clay and dust. We spend our days outside mostly. The weather dictates how much work we get done. When it rains, everything slows down and we just wait it out in the small shack we use as an office. We have been in this location for a long time. People around here know us as the place across from the club. We do not have a shiny sign or a lobby. Just a scale and some heavy machinery for moving the loads. It is physical work. Our clothes are always stained and our hands are rough from handling the material. We sell to local contractors and folks building their own homes. We do not do fancy brochures. You come here, you see the bricks, and you decide if you want them. We try to be helpful if someone has questions about how many they need for a wall or a garden shed. It is a simple life out here in Doaba. We do not need much to be happy. Just a good batch of clay and some clear skies to get the firing done and the orders moved out to the customers.
