Vidya Trading

Working out of Office No-1004 is a bit different because we are high up away from the ground noise. Our building is on the Main Road, right near the Shri Nath Hotel, which is where we usually tell people to look if they are lost. The hotel is a busy place and it helps us explain our location to anyone coming over for the first time. Up on the tenth floor, it’s a bit quieter, but you can still see the whole city moving below. Vidya Trading is basically just a couple of rooms with some desks and a lot of ledgers. We spend most of the morning on the phone or checking through the papers that come in. It’s a trading business, so things move fast one day and slow the next. The lift in this building can be a bit temperamental, so we always tell people to be patient. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which is how we start every morning. There isn't any big reception area or shiny signs. It is just a workspace where we get things sorted. Sometimes we get lunch from the hotel next door if we are too busy to go home. It’s a steady kind of life here on the Main Road. We just keep our heads down and manage the trades as they come. It's not always easy, but we make it through the day.
