A To Z Bearing Centre

New Road is where you’ll find our little shop. A To Z Bearing Centre is exactly what the name says. We try to keep all kinds of bearings in stock because you never know what machine is going to break down next. It’s a small space, so every inch is used for boxes of different sizes. We aren’t experts in everything, but we know our bearings pretty well. Sometimes a customer brings in a rusted old part, and we have to spend some time measuring it to find the right match. It’s dusty work, and our hands usually have a bit of oil on them. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting lounge. You just walk in, come to the counter, and we see what we can do for you. The shop has been here for years, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that isn’t the priority. We prefer focusing on having the right stock. It gets busy in the afternoons when the local workshops send their guys over. We just write out the receipts by hand and keep the line moving. It’s a steady way to spend the day. Nothing too exciting happens here, just honest work helping people get their machines spinning again without too much fuss. We open the shutters early and close up once the sun goes down. Most people around New Road know where to find us when they need a replacement.
