Deep Shikhar Spices Private Limited is located at Plot No - 16 in Govind Nagar Colony. We are out in Aklera-Jhalawar, postcode 326033. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't from around these parts. The air here usually smells like whatever we are grinding that day, which can be pretty strong if you aren't used to it. We handle spices, so there is always a bit of dust in the air. We try to keep things clean, but when you are dealing with kilos of turmeric or chili, it gets everywhere. The building is just a standard plot, nothing special to look at. We have a few machines and some storage space for the raw sacks we get from the farmers. It is hard work, mostly lifting and packing. We don't really do much in the way of fancy branding. We just put the name on the bag and send it off. Aklera is a small place, so news travels fast if you do a bad job, which is why we try to be careful. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon and it gets quite warm inside. We usually take a break then and sit in the shade. It’s a simple life, really. We just focus on the spices and hope the market prices stay fair so we can keep the lights on.
