Our factory is at 847 in the M.I.E. Part-A area. It’s a big industrial estate and we have been here for quite some time. We do plastic moulding. We have these large machines that take up most of the floor space. They make a lot of noise and generate a fair bit of heat. We spend the day monitoring the cycles and making sure the pieces come out right. There’s always a pile of plastic pellets near the loading area. It’s not a clean or quiet job but it’s what we do. The office is just a tiny room off to the side where we keep the records and handle the phone calls. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. One of us just wipes their hands and answers the phone if it rings. M.I.E. is a busy place with trucks coming and going all day long. We have a rhythm to our work that we’ve developed over the years. Some days are longer than others depending on the orders we have. We don't use fancy marketing brochures to get business. People usually come to us because they heard we can make what they need. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, run the machines, and go home. That’s pretty much how it goes for us every day. The lunch break is usually the quietest part of the whole shift.
