Agrobawani Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group, Agrobawani Farmer Producer Company Limited, runs out of H. No. 1100 in the village of Baliali. This is part of the Bawani Khera area, and most of us have lived here our whole lives. We decided to use this house as a base because it’s central for the farmers in the village. It isn't a corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a house where we keep our records and meet up to talk about the harvest. Farming in Baliali has its ups and downs, and we thought having a collective would help everyone out with the technical side of things. Most days, someone is hanging around the house waiting for a delivery or checking on some paperwork. We deal with whatever comes up, whether it’s seeds or just figuring out transport to the market. It gets busy during the cutting season, and the house fills up with people and noise. Bawani Khera is a quiet place usually, but we stay active. We aren't trying to be some huge company that forgets where it started. We just want the folks in Baliali to have a fair shake. You can usually hear the tractors passing by while we are inside working on the accounts. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. We don't use fancy words for what we do. We just work the land and try to keep things moving forward for the village.
