Asrg Farming Private Limited is situated in Village Rasalpur Bhitia in the Sikariya area of Jehanabad. Ravindra Singh, who is the son of the late Devnandan Singh, runs the show here on our family land. We are deep in the countryside and that is exactly how we like it. Farming is something that runs in our blood and we’ve been doing it for generations, though the company name is more recent. We handle all sorts of daily farm tasks from dawn until dusk. It isn't just a job for us, it is how we survive and take care of the family. The village of Rasalpur Bhitia is a small place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We try to stay focused on our crops and animals and not get distracted by much else. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it’s supposed to and that makes things stressful, but we’ve learned to deal with whatever nature throws at us. We don't have a fancy office or use big words to describe what we do. We just grow things and look after the land that was left to us. Our hands are usually dirty and we spend more time in the fields than inside a house. It’s a basic way of living but it feels right to be working the soil here in Jehanabad. We just take it one season at a time and see how things go.
