Royal Marble

We started Royal Marble in Phuentsoling a while back. Our place is at 147, right near the Bank of Bhutan Ltd. If you know that area, you know it gets quite a bit of foot traffic and cars zooming by. Being near the bank is handy for us and for folks stopping in. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, just a regular place where we keep our stone. We spend most of our mornings moving things around and checking what came in on the last truck. Marble is heavy, so it keeps us busy just getting it off the lorries and stacked up properly so nothing breaks. Sometimes the weather here in Bhutan makes things a bit slow, especially when it rains hard and the roads get difficult. We just sit tight and wait it out. It’s mostly a local operation. We know the people around here and they know where to find us. We don’t do big ads or anything like that. Most people just see the sign when they're going to the bank or walking down the street. It’s a steady kind of life. We focus on the stone and making sure the piles stay organized. The office is small and usually has some dust on the desk, but that’s just how it goes when you work with marble all day long. We like being in this part of town and have been here for years.
