Jayanagar is one of those old-school Bangalore areas with lots of greenery and wide roads. Our office reflects that older charm. It’s not a brand-new building, so the walls have some scuffs and the floorboards creak a little. We have a lot of tools and equipment lying around because we do a lot of lab-based work. It’s not the most polished place, but it’s where we feel at home. There are stacks of components on the shelves and half-finished projects on the benches. We don’t have a formal dress code, so you’ll usually see us in old jeans and t-shirts. We get our coffee from the small shop down the street. It’s a good excuse to get out and stretch our legs. The 18th Main Road can get quite lively, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. We like the energy of this neighborhood. It’s a mix of homes and small businesses like ours. We don’t do big presentations or have fancy meeting rooms. If we need to talk, we just gather around one of the benches. It’s a very hands-on environment. We focus on the technical stuff and don’t worry too much about the aesthetics of the office. It’s a real place for real work where we can be ourselves.
