Jai Durga Maa Poultry Farms

Jai Durga Maa Poultry Farms is situated at Sy. No. 303/1/2/1 in Pasaramadla village, over in Jangaon. It is a farm, so you can imagine it is not exactly quiet or perfectly clean. There is always the sound of birds and the smell of the countryside air. We spend most of our time outdoors or in the sheds. The work starts very early, usually before the sun is even fully up over the horizon. Feeding, cleaning, checking on the birds—it is a lot of physical labor that wears you out. We do not have an office with air conditioning. Our office is the land itself and the paths between the buildings. Pasaramadla is a quiet village for the most part, but the farm stays busy throughout the week. We have a few people who help out with the daily chores. It is a tough business because you are dealing with living things and the unpredictable weather. If it rains too much or gets too hot, we have to adjust quickly. We have had some hard years and some better ones. That is just the nature of farming. We do not use any fancy management software; we mostly keep track of things in notebooks and on old clipboards. The address is a bit out of the way if you are not used to the local roads around Jangaon. You have to look for the signs. We are just regular folks trying to make a living from the land. It is honest work and it keeps us grounded.
