We run things out of our place at H.No.:4-107/1 in Jangam. It’s more of a home-based setup for Bashaiah Travels. Most of the time is spent on the phone, talking to drivers or checking on where the vehicles are. Jangam is a small enough place where everyone knows the landmarks. Our office is just a room with some chairs and a desk covered in logbooks and keys. The life of a travel business is mostly about waiting and timing. We wait for the phone to ring, and then we scramble to get things sorted. Sometimes a car has a flat tire or a driver is late, and that’s when the stress starts. But mostly, it’s just the steady rhythm of trips going out and coming back. We don’t have a big fleet of shiny new buses with logos everywhere. It’s more about the practical side of getting people from one place to another. We know the roads around Jangam pretty well by now. The tea stall down the road is where we usually catch a break between bookings. It’s a simple business. We don’t do much advertising. People find us by word of mouth or they just see the cars parked near the house. It’s been this way for a while, and we just keep the wheels turning as best as we can. That's the whole of it for us.
