T.S. College Hisua / Nawadah

It is one of those colleges that feels like it has been part of the local landscape forever. The building itself is quite large, but it shows its age in a few places if you look closely. We don't have the fancy glass walls you see in the new city colleges, but the brick and mortar have held up through many seasons of rain and sun. Students come in from all the nearby villages, some walking a long way and others coming on cycles. The courtyard is where most people hang out between their classes, and it gets quite crowded when the weather is nice outside. Hisua is a quiet town for the most part, so the college is one of the more active spots during the day. We have some trees that provide a bit of shade, which is very helpful during the hot months of the year. The classrooms have high ceilings and old wooden benches that have seen many years of use. It is a very traditional environment where things are done the old-fashioned way. There is no big marketing team here; it is just the staff and the students getting on with their work every day.
