If you come looking for Vedant Construction, you’ll find us on the fourth floor of the Sura Sadhan building. We’re right in the middle of the Contractor Area on Road No. 4, so there’s always some kind of construction noise or a truck blocking the entrance. The office itself is full of rolls of drawings and half-empty coffee cups. It’s not a place meant for showing off; it’s just where we sit down to figure out the numbers and plan the next few weeks of work. Being up on the fourth floor gives us a decent view of the rooftops around here, which are mostly dusty and covered in water tanks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at the actual sites, so sometimes the office is completely empty except for one person answering the door. The stairs can be a bit of a workout if the power is out, but we’re used to it. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just know what needs to be built and we try to find the best way to do it without running into too many problems. It’s a lot of talk about concrete, steel, and permits. It can be stressful when things don't go according to plan, but that’s just how the building business goes. We’re just local people trying to make things stand up straight.
