Our address is just listed as Road, which sounds a bit strange, but it’s because we are rarely sitting in an office anyway. Most of our work happens at other people's places, installing cameras or fixing alarm systems that have started acting up for no reason. We keep our tools and the extra wire in a small storage spot, but we spend the majority of our daylight hours in the van driving from one site to another. Security work is mostly about figuring out why a sensor is buzzing or where the best place is to put a camera so it doesn't just record the top of someone's head. It’s a lot of climbing ladders and getting dust on our shirts. We deal with a lot of shop owners who are worried about their stock. Sometimes we get calls in the middle of the night because an alarm went off, and usually, it's just a cat or a big bug that flew in front of a lens. We don’t mind too much, it’s part of the job. It’s a bit of a messy business with all the drilling and the wiring, but we've been doing it long enough that we can usually find the fault pretty quick. We don't have a storefront where people come to browse. Most people just call us and we head out to wherever they are. It keeps us moving and every day is a different street and a different problem.
