Bhatia Brothers

We are located over in Jugsalai, right on Station Road. If you find the old ice factory, we are just behind it. Bhatia Brothers has been at this spot for a long time. It’s a busy area because of the railway station nearby. There is always a lot of shouting and the sound of horns from the street. Our shop is simple and a bit cramped with all the stuff we keep inside. We have piles of inventory that sometimes reach the ceiling. It might look like a mess to someone else, but we know where everything is. We spend our days helping people who come in looking for specific parts or items. It's a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and counting stock. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked in places. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that wobble a bit. We’ve known most of our customers since they were kids. It’s that kind of neighborhood. We don’t do any advertising; people just know we are here behind the ice factory. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s not a high-tech operation, just us doing what we’ve always done. We keep things honest and just try to make a living. That’s the way it is here in Jamshedpur. The metal shutters are heavy to lift in the morning. We just keep at it.
