Yash Udyog is tucked away at C-2/338 in Gidc. - 1 Shankar Tekri. If you’ve ever been to Udyognagar in Jamnagar, you know it’s a maze of small factories and workshops. We are right in the middle of it. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a gray building with a heavy door. Inside, though, we’re usually pretty busy. We do a lot of grinding and finishing work on metal pieces. The floor is usually covered in dust by noon, so we have to sweep it out at the end of every shift. We’ve got a couple of old machines that have been the backbone of this place since we opened up. They make a lot of noise, but they are solid. We don’t spend much on advertising or anything like that because most of the people who need our work already know where to find us. It’s a small team here, just a handful of us who know the routine inside and out. We take a break in the middle of the afternoon for some tea and a bit of a rest before finishing up the last batch of the day. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the summer, making it a bit of a sweatbox, but we keep the doors open for the breeze. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town.
