Shethia Electronics Components

Our shop, Shethia Electronics Components, is at C-2/103 in the GIDC - 1 area of Shankar Tekri Udyognagar in Jamnagar. This part of Jamnagar is famous for its industrial work and we are right in the middle of it. The unit is a bit cramped because we have so many small components stored in bins and boxes. They are stacked all the way to the ceiling in some places. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend the day sorting through these parts and fulfilling the small orders that come in. The air in Shankar Tekri always smells a bit like metal and oil. It’s a busy atmosphere with people constantly moving around the lanes. We have a small workbench where we test some of the components if someone asks. The door stays open most of the day to let in some air, though it also brings in the dust from the street. We don’t have a fancy computer system. We write down our sales in a big notebook. The staff is just family and a couple of helpers from the neighborhood. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. People come to us because they know we’ve been here forever.
