Solanki Class

We’re over at Avantik Complex on the Main Road, not too far from the Guru Dwara. It’s a decent location because everyone knows where the Guru Dwara is. Our space is up on one of the floors of the complex. It’s got a few rooms that we’ve turned into classrooms. We have been running Solanki Class for quite a while now. It’s mostly just us and the students five or six days a week. We don't have a big reception desk or anyone to answer phones; we usually just talk to people when they walk in. The rooms have plenty of chairs, and we try to keep the whiteboards clean, though they get stained after a lot of use. Sometimes the building gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open for a breeze. You can hear the traffic from the Main Road, but it's not too bad. We just focus on the lessons and helping the kids understand their schoolwork. We don’t use any fancy teaching methods. It’s just reading, writing, and practicing until it’s right. Many of the families who live nearby send their children to us. We’ve become a bit of a fixture in this part of Jamnagar. It’s a simple life, but we like the work. We usually stay until the last student finishes their work, even if it’s getting dark outside.
