Royal Engineers

If you head over to Phase-2 of the Dared industrial area, you will find us at Plot No. 86. This is where Royal Engineers is located. It is a very industrial part of town, so there is always the smell of oil and the sound of metal hitting metal. Our workshop is full of machines like lathes and drills that we use for various engineering jobs. It is a busy place and there is usually some grease on the floor, no matter how much we clean. We spend our days working on different parts and fixing things that people bring in. It is not a quiet job; you have to wear earplugs sometimes when the heavy machines are running. We have a small corner with a desk where we handle the billing and the drawings, but most of the time we are out on the floor. The sun really beats down on the metal roof in the summer, making it quite hot inside. We just drink a lot of water and keep moving. We have been in this plot for a while and have seen the industrial area grow around us. Most of the people working here have been with us for years and they know the machines inside and out. We do not have a fancy office or anything, just a solid workshop where we do engineering work. It is a lot of manual labor and technical skill mixed together to get things finished.
