Working in shipping means you spend a lot of time waiting for things to happen and then suddenly everything happens at once. Paragon Shippers is tucked away in Office 101 of the Sumeru building. It’s a decent spot on Palace Ground Road, right across from the Manusmriti Appartment. Patel Colony is usually pretty quiet, which we like because the phones are always ringing inside. We handle a lot of paperwork—customs forms, manifests, and things that most people would find incredibly boring. There’s a certain rhythm to it, though. You get to know the names of ships and the people at the ports, even if you never actually meet them in person. Our office has a few old maps on the wall and too many files stacked on the floor because we ran out of cabinet space months ago. We aren't trying to be some giant global corporation with a glass building. We just like our small corner here where we can keep track of where everything is supposed to be. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed and we have to stay late to explain it to everyone involved, which isn't fun, but it's part of the deal. We mostly just drink our tea, answer the emails, and try to make sure nothing gets lost between here and the harbor. It’s just us doing our bit in the logistics chain.
