A. T. Impex

At A. T. Impex, we work out of the Swagat Building. We are on the sixth floor, in room 603. The building is right across from Hotel Regency on P. N. Marg. It’s a pretty good location because everyone knows the hotel, so we don’t have to give long directions to anyone. Being up on the sixth floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is usually quite busy. We spend our hours here looking at logs and talking to suppliers. It’s not the kind of work that makes for a movie, but it is what we do. The elevator in Swagat Building can be a bit slow when everyone is coming in at 9:00 AM, so some of us try to get here a little earlier. Our space is functional. We have our computers, our filing cabinets, and a small area for lunch. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because it doesn’t really help get the job done. Most of the people here have been working together for a while now. We know how each other works and we just get on with things. P. N. Marg is a loud street, but once the windows are shut, it is quiet enough to concentrate. We deal with various imports and exports, mostly just making sure the numbers match and the goods are where they should be. It is a long day sometimes, but we get through it.
