Kalyan Polytechinic College

Our college is located out on Aliyabada Road, right near Jambuda Chokdi in the Shekhpat area of Jamnagar. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, so it’s a bit quieter out here in Gujarat. We focus on polytechnic education, which means a lot of hands-on work in the workshops and labs. The students come here from all over the Jamnagar district, often taking the bus or riding their bikes down the Aliyabada Road. The campus is practical and built for utility rather than looks. We have some open space and the buildings where the different departments are housed. Since it’s Gujarat, it gets very hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy workshop work done earlier in the day if we can. We are just a local college trying to give people some technical skills so they can find work in the industries around here. It’s not a glamorous place, but it serves its purpose for the students who come through our gates every day. We deal with the daily issues like fixing machines and organizing the class schedules so everyone knows where to go. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day, and we’ve been part of the Shekhpat community for a while now. Most people know us by the Jambuda Chokdi landmark if they are trying to find their way.
