True Value Mart

True Value Mart is over in Trikuta Nagar. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. We spend a lot of our time just moving crates around and making sure the milk and bread are where they should be. The floor is that old tile that never quite looks perfectly clean no matter how much we mop it, but that’s just how it is. We start early, usually before the sun is really up, to get the fresh stuff in. Trikuta Nagar has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We have the regulars who come in every day for the same thing and we know their names, or at least what they like to buy. The shelves are packed pretty tight because we try to keep a bit of everything. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a minute and people get a bit annoyed, but that’s just part of life here. We don't have a fancy uniform, just our regular clothes and maybe an apron if it’s a messy day. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and checking labels. When the rain comes, we have to move the displays back from the door so they don't get soaked. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people trying to keep things organized for the neighborhood.
