Nagin Bar

This bar is tucked away inside the Hotel Jammu Ashok. We are located right at Post Box No 60, just across from Amar Mahal. If you know Jammu, you know that area is quite nice with all the trees and the palace nearby. I’ve been working here for a bit, and it’s usually a quiet place where people come to sit down after a long day of travel or work. We see a lot of tourists who are heading up to the hills or coming back down. The hotel itself has been around for ages, and the bar has that old-school feel to it. It is not like those noisy clubs you see in the big cities. Here, we just pour the drinks and let people talk. Sometimes the monkeys from the trees outside come near the windows, which is always a sight. We keep the shelves stocked and the glasses clean. It is a simple job, really. I like the evenings when the sun goes down over Jammu Tawi and the lights start coming on. The atmosphere gets real relaxed then. We don't do anything too fancy, just the regular stuff you’d expect from Nagin Bar. Being opposite Amar Mahal means we get a lot of people asking for directions too. We just point them across the road. It’s a steady kind of life here at the bar, and nothing too crazy happens most nights.
