Mobile Planet

Mobile Planet is a small shop, number 34, located right below the Gummat. If you know the area, you know the Gummat is a major landmark, so finding us isn't too difficult once you get close. We operate in a pretty tight space, but we manage to fit a lot of phone accessories and tools into the drawers. The main thing we do is deal with mobile phones, whether that is selling a charger or trying to fix a screen that someone dropped. It gets very noisy here because we are right where all the foot traffic passes by. We don't have a big team, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. The walls are covered in phone cases of every color you can imagine. We spend a lot of our day under a magnifying glass or using small screwdrivers to open up handsets. It’s a bit of a cramped way to work, but we like being right in the middle of the action. People stop by to ask questions about their devices or just to see what new gadgets have come in. We try to keep things simple and don't use a lot of big words to explain why a phone isn't working. It is just a regular mobile shop doing what we can to stay busy. The lights stay on late most nights because there is always one more repair to finish before we go home and lock up the shutters. It’s a bit messy, but it’s our spot.
