Mj Technologies is located up at No. 76 in Lilum, which is part of the Handwara area in Kupwara. It is a bit far out for some, but for us, it’s home. The pace of life here is a lot slower than what you find in the big cities, and we like it that way. We do a lot of tech work, which might seem surprising given where we are, but there is plenty of need for it. Our office is a simple room where we keep all our gear. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting and trying to keep things running for the local folks and small businesses around here. Sometimes the power goes out or the weather makes it hard to get around, but we just adjust and keep going. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else, so we end up chatting with people as much as we work on their equipment. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that; word just gets around about what we do. It’s honest work and it feels good to be helpful to the community in Lilum. The views around Kupwara are nice, which is a good bonus when you need to step outside for a break. We just take it day by day, fixing what needs fixing and making sure we’re available when someone needs us. It’s a quiet but productive life here.
