Leela Enterprises

Down on Exchange Road in Jammu Tawi, that’s where you’ll see Leela Enterprises. We are at number 110. It’s a pretty central spot, so we see all kinds of people coming through. The building is old, like most things on this street, but it has a lot of character and history. We deal in various goods, and our storage area is always packed to the ceiling with stuff. In the winter, it gets quite cold in the office, so we drink a lot of tea to stay warm while we work. In the summer, it’s the opposite, and we just keep the windows open to catch any breeze from the road. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us who have been working together for years. We know the regulars by name, and they usually stop for a chat even if they don’t need to buy anything that day. We aren't looking to expand into some massive company. We just like being part of the local scene in Jammu. There’s always some noise from the street—horns honking or people shouting—but you get used to it after a while. It’s just a normal business doing its thing every day. We try to be honest with everyone who walks in and do our best with what we have. Most days we are here from ten until the evening.
