Our place is number 13 in the Guridwara Market. It’s a good spot because we are right in Nanak Nagar and pretty close to Station Road. Being near the station means there is always people moving around, which we like. We deal with a lot of different supplies and items here. It’s not the biggest shop in the market, but we make use of every inch of space we have. Sometimes the piles of boxes get a bit high, but we know where everything is. We started out small and just kept adding more things as people asked for them. The market can get really loud with all the shouting and trucks, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or just helping the people who walk in off the street. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t go for anything too flashy. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and get to work. Most of the other shopkeepers around here are friends of ours, so we often help each other out when things get busy. If you’re looking for us, we’re the one with the blue door right past the main turn. It’s a busy life but we enjoy being part of the local scene. We've been here a long time now and know the area well.
