Hilal Tea

We have been operating out of Channi Rama for quite a few years now. The shop is located in the Khana Chorgol area of Jammu Cantt, and we are right near the Jamia Masjid. Most people in the neighborhood know us because we’ve stayed in this one spot for so long. It is not a very big shop, but it is enough for what we do with our tea business. My family helps me run things every day. We usually see the same group of people coming by after they visit the mosque. Jammu can get very cold in the winter months, so having a good stock of tea is important for everyone around here. We don't really do any fancy advertising or have a big sign. People mostly find us by word of mouth or just by walking past on the street. The area around the masjid is always busy, which keeps us on our feet. We spend a lot of our time moving sacks and getting the tea ready for customers. It is hard work and our hands are usually dusty by the end of the day. We try to keep the shop as clean as we can, though it is tough with the traffic outside. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It is just a local business where we know our neighbors and they know us.
