Sahni Plastic Store

Sahni Plastic Store is tucked away in Thandi Gali within the Main Market of Nowshera. Being in the Rajouri district, it’s a place that stays busy with locals and people from the nearby villages. The lane we’re on is called Thandi Gali because it stays fairly cool even when the sun is out. Our shop is pretty much overflowing with plastic items like chairs, containers, and jugs. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, honestly. We have stuff stacked up high, and you have to be careful not to knock anything over. We’ve been running this place for quite a while now. We don't have any corporate training or polished ways of speaking. We just talk to people plainly and try to help them find a plastic bucket or a set of mugs. The shop doesn't have a fancy front; it’s just a wide door with stuff spilling out onto the street. During the monsoon, the rain can make the market a bit muddy, but we just put some cardboard down and keep going. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, so we often share a cup of tea during the slow hours. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don't have a mission or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and do our work until it's time to go home. It’s a simple, honest way to get through the day in Nowshera.
