Minu Tea

Down on Rishi Road in Kharibari, you’ll find us working away at Minu Tea. It’s a busy enough area here in the Darjeeling district. We have been in this spot for a good bit of time. The road gets dusty sometimes with all the traffic passing through Kharibari. We just keep our heads down and handle the tea. There isn’t a whole lot to say about the building itself, it’s just where we set up. Most folks around here know Rishi Road well. We see the same faces every morning. It feels like a real community out here. Being in Darjeeling means we are surrounded by people who know their tea, so we try to just do things right. Minu Tea is a small operation, really. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just a space where we manage everything. The days start early and end when the work is finished. Sometimes the rain gets heavy, making the road a bit messy, but that’s just life in this part of the country. We don't spend money on fancy signs. People find us because they know where we are on Rishi Road. It is a plain way of working, but it’s what we know. We just stay busy and keep the lights on in Kharibari. We have been here for years and hope to stay for many more. It is just home to us.
