Sengunthar Middle School

If you head down Purna Road in Nanded, you’ll find us at the Gurukul Campus. Sengunthar Middle School isn’t a massive institution, but it’s been around long enough that most folks in the area have heard of it. We deal with middle schoolers, which, if you’ve ever met one, you know can be a handful. They’re at that age where they aren’t small kids anymore but they aren’t quite grown either. Our campus has some space for them to run around, though it’s never quite enough for the energy they have. The Gurukul Campus area is relatively quiet compared to the center of Nanded, which is nice for a school environment. We don’t really go in for big advertisements or anything like that. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live just down the street. The classrooms are simple, the benches are wooden, and we spend a lot of time just keeping things tidy. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, or the rain makes it hard to hear anything over the tin roofs in some sections. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s an honest place. We aren’t trying to be something we’re not. We just open the gates every morning, teach the classes, and hope the kids learn something useful before they head home.
