Media Channel

We are based in Jafrabad, specifically at Post Jafrabad in the Taluka. Our office is right near Shivaji Chowk, which is a place everyone knows. Media Channel isn't a big news station with cameras and fancy studios. We are more of a local operation. We keep track of what’s happening in the district and tell people about it. Sometimes it’s about a local event, other times it’s just something the village needs to know. It’s a small room with a few desks and some old computers that sometimes act up. We spend a lot of our time walking around the chowk, talking to people to find out what’s going on. It’s a lot of listening and writing things down. We don't have a big budget, so we just do what we can with what we have. The tea shop across the street is where we spend a lot of our time between stories. It’s important for people to have a place where they can get their news without all the extra noise you see on big TV channels. We try to be fair and just report what we see. It’s not always exciting, but it’s our job. We’ve been part of this community for a long time, and we plan to stay right here near the chowk. Usually, there is a lot of chatter in the office when a big story comes in.
