Jalgaon Weavers Association

Our spot is at Gat No. 71/2/2 in Turkheda village. We share space with Jasmine Cotex Private Limited, which is quite a well-known name around here in Jalgaon. Being the Jalgaon Weavers Association, we are right in the middle of where the actual work happens. It’s a rural setting, so you see a lot of fields and open space before you reach the gate. The air is different out here compared to the city. We spend our time looking after the interests of the local weavers. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning in every corner. It’s more of a practical place where people come to discuss their issues with the looms or the market prices. Jalgaon is famous for its cotton, and we are right in the thick of it. The 425002 area is where we've set up shop. We deal with real problems, like getting the right yarn or fixing broken machinery. People here work hard with their hands. We don't have a marketing team writing stories for us. We just keep records, host meetings, and try to make sure the weaving community stays afloat. It’s a lot of paperwork and sometimes the electricity goes out, which is just part of living in Turkheda. We’ve been working from this location for a while now, and everyone knows where to find us. It’s a simple life focused on the craft of weaving.
