Hyrshil Weavings is located over at 24 Riddhi Siddhi Colony here in Chopda. It’s a regular neighborhood, so it doesn't feel like a big industrial zone, which is actually quite nice for us. We started this weaving business because there was a need for it locally in the Jalgaon district. Most of our days are spent surrounded by yarn and finished goods. It can get a bit cluttered inside the unit, especially when we have a big batch of weaving to finish. We try to keep things tidy, but when work picks up, the floors get covered in scraps of thread. That’s just the way it goes. We don't have a team of marketing people or a fancy website. We just have our machines and a few hands to help keep them running. Sometimes a neighbor stops by to chat, which slows us down a bit, but we don't mind much. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of cotton, which is something you just get used to after a week or two. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just take the raw material and weave it into something useful. It’s a lot of standing and checking for mistakes in the patterns. Our address in the colony is easy to find if you’re looking for us. We’re just local people trying to make a go of it in the textile trade without any big fuss or complicated systems.
