Bedmutha Industries Ltd.

Bedmutha Industries Ltd. is located at E-1, Phase-II in the MIDC area of Nardana. It’s quite a way out in the Shindkheda tahsil. The landscape is mostly other factories and some dry fields. We’ve got a large shed here where we do all our manufacturing. It’s not the most exciting place to be, but it’s where the work happens. We have a good group of people who make the trip out here every day. The work is mostly industrial and it can be quite repetitive. We spend a lot of time checking machines and moving crates around. There isn't a lot of shade outside, so the building gets quite warm in the summer. We have a small area for our lunch breaks where we usually just sit and talk about whatever is going on. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. Our business is mostly based on long-term contracts and people knowing what we do. The roads out here can be a bit rough, especially after the monsoon, so getting things in and out can be a challenge. We just take it one day at a time. It’s a lot of hard work and not much glory, but we’re used to it. We don't use any fancy words to describe ourselves; we’re just a factory in the MIDC area trying to keep everything running on time. We finish our shifts and head home.
