Goyal Foundry

Working at a foundry in M.I.D.C. Avadhan isn't for everyone. It gets very hot, especially during the summer months when the sun is hitting the metal roof of D-12 all day. We spend our days around the equipment and the molds. It’s noisy and there is always a bit of grit in the air. That’s just how a foundry is. We don't have a fancy reception area with air conditioning or soft chairs. Usually, if someone comes to see us, we just meet them out on the floor or in the small side office where we keep the records. We’ve been at this for a long time. The guys here know their way around the metal and the heat. We don't talk much about "innovation" or anything like that; we just focus on making sure the castings come out right the first time. If they don't, we just melt it down and do them again. It’s physical work and you go home tired and dirty every day. The M.I.D.C. area is full of businesses like ours, so there’s always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. We don't have a marketing department. If people want foundry work done, they usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our sign out front on the main road. We keep things simple. We have our orders, we do the work, and we ship it out. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve followed for years now. No bells and whistles, just metal and hard work.
