Virasat Boutique

Virasat Boutique is located at No. 170 in Basti Bawa Khel, along Kapurthala Road. It’s a spot that’s easy to miss if you’re driving too fast, but we’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. We deal with a lot of fabric and tailoring. Most days involve measuring, cutting, and talking to people about what they want to wear for a wedding or a party. It’s a lot of small details that you have to get right. The shop is small and the shelves are packed with rolls of cloth. We’ve had the same sewing machines for years because they still work just fine. Kapurthala Road gets really busy in the evenings, so that’s when we usually have the most people dropping in. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to sew. We aren't trying to be a high-end fashion house; we just want to make clothes that fit well and look okay. Sometimes we run out of a certain thread color and have to go hunting for it. It’s just the usual daily struggles of a small business. We like the interaction with the locals who live around Basti Bawa Khel. They’ve been coming to us for years, and now their kids come too. It’s a nice feeling to be part of the neighborhood like that.
