Vinod Steel Industries

Vinod Steel Industries is located on Tanda Road, right near the railway crossing. You can always tell when a train is coming because the bells start ringing and everything in the office shakes just a little bit. It’s a gritty part of town with a lot of trucks moving through the dust. We don't have a polished showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a large yard and a small building where we keep the records. The work here is physical and can get pretty dirty by the end of the shift. We are used to the grease and the smell of metal. Tanda Road is always busy and we’ve been here long enough to see the neighborhood change over the years. The crossing can be a pain when you’re trying to get a delivery out on time but it’s just part of the daily routine. We don't spend much on advertising because people usually find us through word of mouth or just by seeing the sign near the tracks. Our team is small and we’ve worked together for a long time. There is no corporate ladder here, just people doing their jobs and making sure the steel gets loaded correctly. We eat lunch together in the shade when it gets too hot. It’s not the quietest place to work but it’s honest and it keeps us busy from dawn until the sun goes down. Most of us have lived in this area our whole lives so we don't mind the noise.
