Vikas Traders

If you walk down Nehru Garden Road, you will find Vikas Traders. We are mostly involved in buying and selling different types of goods that people in the area need. The shop is full of boxes and stacks of items that arrive on trucks throughout the week. Our morning routine usually involves checking what came in and what needs to be sent out to customers. It’s a practical kind of place with no fancy decorations or anything like that. We have a desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and handle the cash and receipts. Some days are very slow and we just sit and talk while waiting for a delivery, but other days the place is packed with people asking about prices. Nehru Garden Road is a good spot for us because it is easy for the loaders to find. We’ve got a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting when the stock arrives. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and trying to figure out when things will get here. It’s just a normal trading business where we try to keep the shelves full and the customers happy with what they find. The floors get dusty pretty fast with all the foot traffic, so we are always sweeping up. It’s not a glamorous job but it is what we know how to do.
