United Paints & Hardware Store

We are tucked away on Shardhanand Street, specifically at Plot No-Nd-404. If you know the Adda Hoshiarpur area, we are in the Pti Building, right behind where the Punjab Kesari Press is. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find the building, we are easy to spot. The store is filled from floor to ceiling with bins of nails, bolts, and stacks of paint tins. It’s a bit cramped because we try to keep a little bit of everything in stock. I usually spend my time helping people find that one specific screw they need for a home project. The air always has that metallic smell from all the hardware. Being behind the press means there is always some noise and activity going on nearby. We have a heavy metal counter where we mix the paint, and it’s covered in old dried drips of every color you can imagine. The floor is concrete and has seen better days. We don't have a fancy display or anything. It’s just shelves and shelves of practical stuff. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time backing into the lane because it’s narrow. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who live around Shardhanand Street. It’s a tight-knit spot, and we just keep doing what we do, selling what people need to fix their houses or shops.
